I'm Back From the Farm!

For those of you who may have thought I had abandoned this blog, my apologies. Every year I take one week off (that's all I can afford to miss with my training schedule!) and retreat to an idyllic place for a much-needed re-charge.

The place is called Emandal (named after it's first owners, EMily and AL)and is an absolutely breathtaking, laid-back 1,000 acre farm on the Eel River, just east of Mendocino in California. Each year about 12 families visit and some of them have been coming the same week for over 30 years. So the vibe there is just amazing.

I had packed a resistance band and a jump rope, and had plans to hike and swim in the river ever day until my three year old daughter graciously shared her cold. Not a bad place to recuperate, though.

I'm back (both physically and in terms of my health) and getting caught up with work stuff, so I'll be resuming the series I started just before I left in the next day or two.

My plan is to go back to posting shorter, more frequent entries, so I hope to be able to do that starting later this week.

Don't give up on me! I'm just doing what you should do as well - take a little time to relax and enjoy life.

Talk to you soon...
